We ship from Hamilton, New Zealand to New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, the United States, Canada and the European Union.

Processing times

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day. Once your order is on its way, you'll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking.

Shipping rates

  • New Zealand: $7.99 flat rate. Free on orders over $100.
  • Australia: A$13 flat rate. Free on orders over A$170.
  • United Kingdom: £8 flat rate. Free on orders over £110.
  • South Africa: R120 flat rate. Free on orders over R2,300.
  • United States, Canada and European Union: NZ$40 flat rate, shown in your local currency at checkout.

Bundles ship free within New Zealand. Shipping fees are non-refundable once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery times

  • New Zealand: 2 to 5 business days after dispatch
  • Australia: 5 to 10 business days after dispatch
  • All other countries: times vary by destination. Your tracking link will show the latest estimate.

Rural and remote addresses may take a little longer. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by courier demand or events outside our control.

Duties and taxes

Orders shipped outside New Zealand may attract import duties or taxes, depending on your country. These are charged by your local customs authority and are the customer's responsibility.

Delivery details

All orders ship with tracking. Please double-check your address at checkout, as we can't be responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by an incorrect or incomplete address. If a parcel comes back to us because of an address issue or failed delivery, a re-delivery fee may apply.

We created Mode & Opal because we were tired of the ones that didn’t quite work. Hard to clean, awkward to sip from, or too heavy to carry.

Ours are made for real life. The spout is shaped for a natural sip (so you don’t have to pucker or strain), the lid is dishwasher-safe, and the handle and body are designed to feel balanced even when the bottle is full.

Every detail is intentional, so you actually enjoy using it.

The lid and straw are dishwasher-safe. Place the lid open on the top rack along with the straw.

Wash the stainless steel body by hand. The dishwasher can damage the insulation and the finish over time.

Yes, as long as the lid is clicked properly shut.

Check both seals are in place before you throw it in your bag, and avoid overfilling, especially with warm liquids that build up steam.

Our bottles are designed for cold or hot (not boiling) drinks. They keep drinks hot for up to 18 hours.

You can safely add warm liquids, but avoid boiling liquid and carbonated drinks. Pressure build-up could cause leaks, damage or injury.

We make two sizes.

The 940ml holds enough to get you through a busy day without feeling bulky. It fits some cup holders but not all.

The 770ml has a 75mm base and tapers at the bottom, so it fits most car cupholders. If yours is 76mm or wider you are all good, and remember the boot adds a few millimetres. Some cars, particularly 4WDs and utes, have narrower or deeper holders, so it is worth measuring yours.

Include your order number, a short description and a few clear photos, and we will sort a replacement or refund.
